Albert J. Fister; 80; of Monessen; died Sunday; Oct. 16;1994; in Hallsworth House;Charleroi.
Born Aug. 10; 1914; in Monessen; he was the son of the
late Michael and Sophia Svirida Pfiester.
Mr. Fister was retired from the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel
Corp.
He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman
Catholic Church; its Holy Name and Sacred Heart societies; the Franco-Belgian Beneficial Society; the Croatian Club and MARS; all of Monessen.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by a son;Albert J. Fister Jr.. and four
brothers; Stephen; Michael; Martin and Larry Pfiester.
Surviving are his wife; Mary
Torbar Fister; a daughter-in-law; Mary Ann Fister Kinney of
Belle Vernon; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law; Chad and Heather Fister of Belle Vernon: and a great-granddaughter; Rachel Fister of Belle Vernon.Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc.. Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue; Monessen. Funeral services will be held Wednesday with a Blessing service at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home;followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.in the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church;Monessen. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery;Belle Vernon. The Robert A.Billick Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of the arrangements.
