Obituary

Joseph P.Ferencz,75,of 61 Leighty Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Thursday,May 27,1993,at 8:48 p.m.in Mercy Hospital,Pittsburgh. He was born April 9,1918,in Passaic.N.J.,a son of the late John and Josephine Hetzinger Ferencz. Mr.Ferencz resided in the Belle Vernon area the past 52 years. He was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon. A veteran of World War II,he had served in the U.S.Army. He was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659,Rostraver AARP and Belle Vernon Golden Age Assembly. He had retired in 1980 after 40 years of service with Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel,Allenport Plant,where he was employed in the tube mill as a thread inspector. Mr.Ferencz is survived by his wife,Irene Hoffman Ferencz,with whom on June 5,he would have celebrated 52 years of marriage,two sons,Dennis Ferencz and Robert Ferencz,both of Belle Vernon,a daughter,Mrs.Joseph (Janice) Milosevich of Hampton,Va.,a brother,James Ferencz of Chricago,Ill.,four sisters,Ethel Trombitus of Carlsdadt,N.J.,Edna Hetzer and Betty Apelian,both of Clearwater,Fla.,and Mrs.James (Joyce) Maniscalco of Dunedin,Fla.,and six grandchildren. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by a brother,John Ferencz. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayer service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will hold a service Monday at 7 p.m.in the funeral home. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
