Joseph P.Ferencz;75;of 61 Leighty Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;May 27;1993;at 8:48 p.m.in Mercy Hospital;Pittsburgh. He was born April 9;1918;in Passaic.N.J.;a son of the late John and Josephine Hetzinger Ferencz. Mr.Ferencz resided in the Belle Vernon area the past 52 years. He was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon. A veteran of World War II;he had served in the U.S.Army. He was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659;Rostraver AARP and Belle Vernon Golden Age Assembly. He had retired in 1980 after 40 years of service with Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel;Allenport Plant;where he was employed in the tube mill as a thread inspector. Mr.Ferencz is survived by his wife;Irene Hoffman Ferencz;with whom on June 5;he would have celebrated 52 years of marriage;two sons;Dennis Ferencz and Robert Ferencz;both of Belle Vernon;a daughter;Mrs.Joseph (Janice) Milosevich of Hampton;Va.;a brother;James Ferencz of Chricago;Ill.;four sisters;Ethel Trombitus of Carlsdadt;N.J.;Edna Hetzer and Betty Apelian;both of Clearwater;Fla.;and Mrs.James (Joyce) Maniscalco of Dunedin;Fla.;and six grandchildren. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a brother;John Ferencz. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayer service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will hold a service Monday at 7 p.m.in the funeral home. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
