Obituary

Joseph S.Fidnarik,80, of 10 Graham Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Friday,Dec.20,1991,at 3:31 p.m.,in Jefferson Hospital. He was born April 10,1911,in Syracuse,N.Y.,a son of the late Joseph and Anna Bolcko Fidnarik. Mr.Fidnarik was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. He resided in the Belle Vernon Community for the past 72 years. He was a veteran of World War II,having served in the U.S.Army military police. Mr. Fidnarik was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. He retired in 1976 as an engineer for the Southwestern Railroad of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by two sisters,Mary Louise Kramer and Ann Breza,and a brother,Michael Fidnarik. He is survived by his wife of 55 years,Agnes Kucian Fidnarik,and one sister,Mrs.Fred (Sylvia) Matthews of Martinsburg,W.Va. Friends will be received at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 1 p.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will hold services in the funeral home Sunday at 7 p.m. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
