Obituary

John Fedora of Lowber,Fayette City,R.D.1,died Tuesday,June 24,1986,at 3:42 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Twp.,after a lengthy illness. He was 59. Mr.Fedora was born Jan.9,1927,in Fayette City,a son of the late George and Elizabeth Brilla Fedora. A coal miner,he retired from employment in the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. A brother,Paul Fedora,died in 1976. Surviving are his wife,Margaret Turcheck Fedora,three sons,John Gerald and Edward David Fedora,both of Clarksville,Pa.,and Timothy George Fedora,at home,three grandchildren,five brothers,Charles Fedora of Fayette City,Mike Fedora of Fairhope,Belle Vernon,George and Alex Fedora,both of Sunnyvale,Calif.,and Frank Fedora of Granite City,Ill.,and four sisters,Mrs.Harold (Sophia) Spano of Denver,Colo.,and Mrs.Donald (Anna) Pates,Mrs.Robert (Helen) Pasesdag,and Mrs.Harry (Pauline) Walker,all of Granite City,.Ill. Friends will be received Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City. A Prayer Service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home,followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church,Fayette City,with the Rev.Father Thomas G.Rinn,pastor,as celebrant. A Church Wake Service will be held Thursday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
