Obituary

Vincent Jim Francia of 12 Stanton Drive,Monessen,died Wednesday,Nov.6,1985,at St.Margaret Memorial Hospital,Aspinwall. He was 61. Born Jan.9,1924,in Monessen,he was a son of the late Frank and Angelian Mandarino Francia. He was a member of St.Cajetan Church and a veteran of World War II,serving with the 596th Signal Air Warning Battalion,First Fighter Group. Mr.Francia was a member of Monessen Elks 773 and American Legion Post 28 of Monessen. He was preceded in death by two brothers,Arthur in 1975 and Henry in 1929. Surviving are his wife,Helen Francia,a daughter,Mrs.Lorraine King of Monessen and a son,Vincent M.Francia of Newport News,Va.,a grandson,Donald King,a brother,Edward Francia of Fellsburg,four sisters,Mrs.Sephen (Lucy) Owsiany of Fairborn,Ohio,Mrs.Anthony (Neda) Gido of Monessen,Mrs.John (Mary) Luti of Anaheim,Calif.and Joan Francia of Monessen and several nieces and nephews. Friends are being reeived Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Raymond D.Dalfonso Funeral Home,441 Reed Ave.,Monessen,where a blessing service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St.Cajetan Church,Monessen with Rev.P.Lino Ramellini as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A parish Rosary will be recited Friday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The Dalfonso Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
