Vincent Jim Francia of 12 Stanton Drive;Monessen;died Wednesday;Nov.6;1985;at St.Margaret Memorial Hospital;Aspinwall. He was 61. Born Jan.9;1924;in Monessen;he was a son of the late Frank and Angelian Mandarino Francia. He was a member of St.Cajetan Church and a veteran of World War II;serving with the 596th Signal Air Warning Battalion;First Fighter Group. Mr.Francia was a member of Monessen Elks 773 and American Legion Post 28 of Monessen. He was preceded in death by two brothers;Arthur in 1975 and Henry in 1929. Surviving are his wife;Helen Francia;a daughter;Mrs.Lorraine King of Monessen and a son;Vincent M.Francia of Newport News;Va.;a grandson;Donald King;a brother;Edward Francia of Fellsburg;four sisters;Mrs.Sephen (Lucy) Owsiany of Fairborn;Ohio;Mrs.Anthony (Neda) Gido of Monessen;Mrs.John (Mary) Luti of Anaheim;Calif.and Joan Francia of Monessen and several nieces and nephews. Friends are being reeived Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Raymond D.Dalfonso Funeral Home;441 Reed Ave.;Monessen;where a blessing service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St.Cajetan Church;Monessen with Rev.P.Lino Ramellini as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A parish Rosary will be recited Friday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The Dalfonso Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
