Carrie Basile Flora of Belle Vernon died Thursday;May 9;1985;at 6:05 a.m. in Westmoreland Manor;Greensburg. She was 80. Mrs.Flora was born May 11;1904;in Belle Vernon;a daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah Rogers Basile. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon Community;she was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon;Catholic Daughters of America Belle Vernon Court No 1522;and the Belle Vernon Women’s Club. Mrs.Flora was active during World War II in the Civil Defense patrols. She was preceded in death by her husband;Ross D.Flora on Aug.29;1984; by a son;Jack Flora;;by two brothers;Robert and Sam Basile;and by a sister;Rose Greco. Surviving are two daughters;Mrs.Dana (Thelma) Raboci and Mrs. George (Sara) Malaga;both of Belle Vernon;four brothers;Roland;James and Ross Basile;all of Belle Vernon;and Anthony Basile of Virginia;two sisters;Mrs.Mary Male of Pittsburgh and Mrs.Margaret Harrison of Belle Vernon;six grandchildren;and seven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A prayer Service will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
