Obituary

Floyd R.(Pete) Faulks of 670 Reed Ave.,Monessen,died at 6:40 a.m.yesterday in the Veterans' Administration Hospital,Oakland,Pittsburgh. He was 59. Mr.Faulks was born Nov.7,1924,in Statesboro,Ga.,a son of the late George and Mahaley Faulks. Prior to retiring in 1972,he had worked for a number of years in the Fiber Department of the Monessen Works of Wheeling-Pittsburg Steel Corporation. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II,Mr.Faulks was a member of Union Baptist Church,Monessen,and was a former chairman of its Board of Trustees. Surviving are his wife,Anna Mae Faulks,at home,one son,Floyd Faulks of Oceanside,Calif.,one daughter,Stacy,at home,step-children,Darlese,Marsha,Fred,Dorothy,Kathy,Yvonne and Howard Foxx,a niece,Mrs.Dorothy Wilson of Arnold City,and a host of cousins. Friends will be received at the Draper Funeral Home,608 Sixth St.,Monessen,Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. The body will then be moved to the Union Baptist Church,Monessen,where it will lie in state Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Sevices will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.in the Union Baptist Church,Monessen. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Draper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
