Gloria J.Evans;63;of 1222 McMahon Ave.;Monessen;died Wednesday;July 2;1997;in Jeannette Memorial Hospital. She was born May 13;1934;in North Charleroi;a daughter of the late Cloyd and Mae Tressler Philippi. Mrs.Evans was a lifelong resident of Monessen where she was a member of the First Christian Church. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Glenn Evans in 1975;a son;Duane Evans in 1991;and three brothers;Harry;Duane and Cloyd Philippi. Survivors include two sons;Scott A. Evans of Monessen and Glyn J.Evans of Houtzdale;Pa.;one daughter;Mrs.Ted (Lori) Quirin of Sutersville;two brothers;Ronald Philippi of Monessen and Marvin Philippi of Milwaukee;Wis.;one sister;Mona Ruth Imbrecia of Monessen;and two grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Ferguosn Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
