Charles Doty,94,of 10 Grove Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Monday, June 4,1990,in Horizon Senior Center, Canonsburg. He was born Dec. 3,1895,in Smithton, a son of the late Mabel and Andrew Doty. Mr. Doty was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation's Monessen plant,where he worked in the No. 2 rod mill. He was a veteran of World War I,having served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Doty was a member of Lynnwood Lutheran Church. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris M. Marsden,in 1980. Survivors include his wife, Martha Kalina Doty; one son, Henry Doty of Charleroi;two grandchildren and one brother, Daniel Doty of Monessen. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.,1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen, where services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Robert C. Hawk officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rhome Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
