Obituary

Theodore Frankie Dropchuk,65,of 906 Hill St.,Belle Vernon,died Monday,Feb.26,1990,at 11:22 p.m.in the Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Township. He was born April 12,1924,in Logan,W.Va.,a son of the late John and Rose Rankowskie Dropchuk. Mr.Dropchuk was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church of Belle Vernon and had resided in the Belle Vernon area for the past 17 years. He was retired from the U.S.Navy after 20 years of service as a merchant first class. He had served during World War II and was present at the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He is survived by two brothers,Paul Dropchuk of Florida and Sam Dropchuk of Michigan,five sisters,Mrs.Stanley (Anna) Sutovich of Belle Vernon,with whom he made his residence,Mrs.Julia Vinlimpglio,Mrs.Catherine Monette,Mrs.Raymond (Helen) Gretch and Mrs.Raymond (Susie) Cee,all of Michigan,and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Relatives and friends will gather at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church,Mary Street,Belle Vernon,Friday at 9 a.m.for funeral services,with the Rev.John Kluchko,pastor,officiating. Interment will be held in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Parastas service will be held Thursday at 8 p.m.in the funeral home. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
