Obituary

Rebecca J.Dupree of 126 Branthoover Ave.,Arnold City,died Saturday,March 16,1985,at 4 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Twp. She was 65. Mrs.Dupree was born Sept.19,1919,in Flattop,Ala.,a daughter of the late Andrew Wilson and Izora Wilson who survives and resides in Arnold City. She had lived in Arnold City since 1927 coming there from Alabama. She was a Baptist by faith. Mrs.Dupree was a member of Antioch Baptist Church,Belle Vernon,the Nurses Board and Nurses Convention of the YWBA,and served as a Junior Missionary supervisor. She was also a member of the Star of Bethlehem Chapter No 34,Order of the Eastern Star,PHA ,11th OES District. Mrs.Dupree was also a member of the Monongahela Valley Branch of the NAACP which she served as a member of its Ways and Means Committee. Her husband,Milton S.Dupree,died on April 9,1963. One son,Anthony,three daughters,Delores,Ramona and LaVonne,and one brother,Andrew Wilson,are also deceased. Surviving in addition to her mother,are a son,Milton S.Dupree Jr and a daughter-in-law Phyllis Dupree,both of Monessen,four grandchildren,Marlene A.little,Robin Lynn Dupree and Kim Little,all at home,and Erik Dupree of Monessen,a great-grandson,Tamar Dupree of Arnold City,a brother,Edgar Wilson and sister-in-law,Dorothy Wilson,both of Arnold City,two sisters,Mrs.Finley (Izora) Carson of Arnold City and Mrs.Nathan (Mary Ann) Goff of Charleroi,and a host of other nieces,nephews,cousins,relatives and friends. Friends will be received at the Antioch Baptist Church,Belle Vernon,Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Antioch Baptist Church,Belle Vernon,with the Rev.Oscar L.Hill,pastor,Union Baptist Church,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery,Belle Vernon,Pa. The William R.Taylor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
