Obituary

Robert Dupree of 672 Empire Blvd.,Brooklyn,N.Y.,formerly of Arnold City,died Monday,Dec.31,1984,at 10:30 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Twp.,after a lengthy illness. He was 56. Mr.Dupree was born July 12,1928,in Grindstone,Pa.,a son of the late Purvey and Lenora Dupree. He was employed as a garment factory foreman. A World War II veteran of the U.S.Army,he was a Protestant by faith. Surviving are his wife,Barbara Allen Dupree,two sons,Anthony Dupree of Monessen and David Dupree of Pittsburgh,three daughters,Mrs.Beverly Watson of Pittsburgh and Shelly and Donna Dupree,both of Pittsburgh,a step-mother,Aggie Dupree of Belle Vernon,three brothers,David Dupree of Youngstown,Ohio,and Sylvester and Harding Dupree,both of Arnold City,four sisters,Mrs.Cora Thrasher,Mrs.Rosa McCarthey,Mrs.Mary L.Ross and Mrs.Geneva Calloway,all of Arnold City,and one aunt,Mrs.Blanche Cox of Arnold City. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.,and until 1 p.m. Friday,the hour of service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery,Belle Vernon,Pa. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
