John E.Dean of 726 Lookout Ave.;Charleroi;died Wednesday;April 28;1982;at 10 p.m. in the Mon Valley Hospital. He was 83. A lifelong resident of Charleroi;Mr.Dean was born Nov.5;1898;the son of the late John and Margaret Wilding Dean. He was a member of St.Jerome’s R.C.Church of Charleroi and was a retired employee of the Corning Glass Works;Charleroi. Mr.Dean was preceded in death by his wife;Mary Coulson Dean;in March;1980 and a sister;Sara Claybaugh;in March;1982. Survivors include two sons;John E.(Jack) Dean Jr.of Twilight and Donald Dean of Belle Vernon;one daughter;Mrs.Sam (Evelyn) Perok of Charleroi;brother;William Dean of Merritt Island;Fla.;and six grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home Inc.;226 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi;on Thursday from 7-9 p.m.and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 1 p.m.at St.Jerome’s Church of Charleroi with Msgr.William Maher officiating. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
