Ottavio M.DeRose of 614 McMahon Ave.;Monessen;died Thursday;March 4;1982;at 11 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 86. Mr.DeRose was born Oct.8;1895;in Italy;and had been a Monessen resident for the past 55 years. He retired in 1961 from the blast furnace department at the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Mr.DeRose was a member of St.Cajetan R.C.Church;Monessen;Monessen Sons of Italy and the Italian Society of Mutual Aid. Survivors include his widow;Emilla Gatto DeRose;three daughters;Mrs.Pearl Hunter of Monessen;Mrs.Devina Bitonti of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Sylvia Bednar of Warren;Ohio;two sons;Armand DeRose of Monessen and Octavis DeRose Jr.of Eaton Rapids; Mich.;and 12 grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Raymond D.Dalfonso Funeral Home;441 Reed Ave.;Monessen;from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 9:30 a.m.followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Cajetan R.C.Church;Monessen. The Rev.P.Lino Ramellini will be the celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Parish Rosary will be recited Sunday at 8 p.m.in the funeral home.
