Obituary

Charles Dacko,76,of Belle Vernon R.D.5,died Wednesday,Dec.2,1981 at 1:30 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Twp. Mr.Dacko was born March 20,1905 in Lesko,Austria-Hungary,a son of the late Nicholas and Rose Dacko. A resident of the Monessen area since 1920,Mr.Dacko retired from the shipping department of Wheeling-PittsburghSteel Corp.in 1967. He was a member of St.Nicholas Ukrainian Orthodox Church,Monessen,and the Ukrainian Political and Beneficial Association. Survivors include his widow,Mary Revak Dacko,two daughters,Mrs.Daniel (Cecelia) Pysh and Mrs.Kenneth (Melanie) Cooper,both of Carneige,four brothers,Steve and Joseph Dutchko,both of Perryopolis,Pete Dutchko of Belle Vernon and John Dutchko of Donora,three sisters,Mrs.Raymond (Mary) Hice of Perryopolis,Mrs.William (Anne) Moore of Freeport and Mrs.Paul (Rose) Janus of Monessen and six grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Stephen D.Yoney Jr.,Funeral Home,First St.,and Schoonmaker Ave.,Monessen,Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Blessing Service will be held Saturday,Dec.5, at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home,followed by Requiem Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. in St.Nicholas Ukrainian Orthodox Church,with the Very Rev.Nicholas Fedorovich officiating. Parastas will be held Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Stephen D.Yoney Jr.Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
