A former Monessen resident;Lorena Williams Duvall;of 12402 Derbyshire Rd.;Rockville;Md.;died Thursday;April 23;1981;in the Potomac Valley Nursing Home;Rockville. Mrs.Duvall had been a patient at the nursing home since 1974. Born Dec.13;1892 in Uniontown;Mrs.Duvall had been a resident of Mckee Way;Monessen;for many years before moving to Maryland. She had taught art in the Monessen Elementary Schools many years ago. Mrs.Duvall was a member of the United Methodist Church of Monessen and the Order of Eastern Star;Monessen chapter. She was preceded in death by her husband;Dr.Francis Duvall;M.D.;in 1953. Survivors include two sons;George B.Duvall of Westfield;N.J.;and Francis C.Duvall of Rockville;Md.;seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Rhome Funeral Home;Inc.;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen;on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be at 2 p.m.Saturday in the funeral home chapel;with the Rev.Howard A.Greenfield II;pastor of United Methodist Church of Monessen;officiating. Interment will be in Belle vernon Cemetery. Rhome Funeral Home;Inc.;is in charge of arrangements.
