Louis S.DeHosse;56;of 424 First St.;Monessen;died Monday;Jan.12;1981;at 10:10 a.m.on admission to Mon Valley Hospital. Mr.DeHosse was born Aug.7;1924;in Charleroi;a son of the late Louis B.DeHosse and Jennie DeHosse Frye;who survives. He was stricken while working at the Monessen Office of the Pennsylvania and Lake Erie Railroad;where he was employed as a traveling agent. Mr.DeHosse was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. A life-long musician (he played the tuba);Mr.DeHosse was a member of the Mon Valley Retired Steelworkers (MARS) Band;the Monongahela Community Band;the Uniontown Concert Orchestra;and the Charleroi Musical Society. He was also a member of the F&AM Lodge No.638;Monessen;and the Valley Consistory and Syria Temple Shrine;both of Pittsburgh. Surviving;in addition to his mother;is his wife;Leatrice Blevens DeHosse;at home;a step-father;Audley Frye;a sister;Mrs.Ronald (Marlene) Toth;of Vestal;N.Y.;a niece and nephew. Friends will be received at the Rhome Funeral Home;Inc.;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen;Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Rhome Funeral Home Chapel;with the Rev.Howard A.Greenfield III;pastor;First United Methodist Church;Monessen;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rhome Funeral Home;Inc.;is in charge of arrangements.
