Brian S. ‘Jay’ Barcus, 55, of N. Belle Vernon, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024 in Mon Valley Hospital with his adoring family by his side. A son of the late Henry R. Barcus, Sr. and Barbara Hyatt Barcus, he was born in N. Charleroi on April 30, 1968. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, he battled health problems since the age of thirteen, and marched through life like a soldier. Survivors include five sisters, Marian Lambert of the state of California, Sabrina (Beanie) Bryan of Oregon, Susan Broyles of Belle Vernon, Robin (Larry) Berish of Perryopolis, and Jancy (Tony) Muccino, with whom he made his home, also of Belle Vernon; three brothers, Robert (Heather) Barcus of Perryopolis, Brandon Barcus of Farmington, and Bradley (Kathleen) Barcus of Belle Vernon, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him endlessly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry R. ‘Ric’ Barcus, Jr., Donald ‘Mooch’ Barcus, and Barry ‘Bones’ Barcus, and a loving sister, Cheryl ‘Rennie’ Donaldson. As per his request, there will be no public visitation or funeral services. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
