Edith M. Carlson,84,of Otto Street, Belle Vernon,died Monday,Jan.10,2000,in her home. Born Oct.3,1915,in Fayette City,she was the daughter of the late Chess and Louise Campbell Hicks. Mrs. Carlson had lived most of her adult life in Belle Vernon,where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband,Wendell G. Carlson;two daughters and one son-in-law,Elaine Snyder of Belle Vernon,Gail and Henry Perney of Rostraver Township;five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by two sisters,Myrellia Driesen and Rhoda Indof. Private funeral services were held Tuesday,Jan.11,2000 in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC.,a Golden Rule Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon,with the Rev. S. Miles McConnell officiating. Burial followed in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
