Sharon Yvonne Ellis, 65, of Monessen, passed away at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born May 5, 1949, in Brownsville, she was the daughter of the late George Ellis and Victoria Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Jimmy Johnson; and granddaughter, Arianne Fields. She was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) working in the healthcare field for Westmoreland Manor in Greensburg and Kenric Manor in Donora. She is survived by four sons, Frank (Rhonda) Howell of Donora, Darnel (Vickie) Howell of Belle Vernon, Michael (Jessica) Howell and Walter Ellis, both of Monessen; four brothers, Jeffrey (Selena) Jones of California, Michael Lawrence of Texas, Dwayne (Sylvia) Stoutamire and Dwight (Antonia) Stoutamire both of Georgia; three sisters, Paula (Curtis) Brown of Brownsville, Wanda (Hogan) Ellis of Ohio and Bonita McNair of Pennsylvania; 28 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a devoted and loving longtime friend, Bonnie Mays-Hughes of Monessen; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 230 Reed Ave., Monessen, followed by a Celebration of Life for Sharon Ellis officiated by the Rev. Ronald Michaux of By Faith Ministries in Connellsville.
