Mrs. Cook was born Aug 4;
1917; in North Charleroi;the daughter
of the late Robert and
Nellie McQuiston Amalong
A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon;
she was a deacon for
First Presbyterian Church;
Belle Vernon; where she was a
member of the Women’s Association and the HOA Class. She is survived by four sons;Earl Y. Cook Jr of Macedonia;
Ohio; Ronald W. Cook of Jacksonville.
Fla.; the Rev David I.Cook of Belle Vernon and Sgt.
Gary Cook of the U S Army;
two brothers; Jerry Amalong of
Cleveland; Ohio and Wendell
Amalong of California. Pa ; one
sister; Dolores Wanda of Cleveland;
Ohio; nine grandchildren
and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents; she was
preceded in death by her husband;
Earl Y. Cook Sr. in 1969
and one brother; Robert
Amalong.
Friends will be received on
Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on
Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. in the Leonard J. Parzynski
Funeral Home; 626
Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon. Additional
visitation will be on Monday
from 10 to 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon;where services will be held at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Richard Klein Jr.;pastor of Rehoboth United Presbyterain Church;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
