Obituary

Wade H. Clingerman,65,of Salvini Lane, Washington,Pa.,formerly of 1016 State Road, Monessen,died unexpectedly at 12:10 p.m. Saturday,Sept. 20,1997.  Born March 19,1932,in Monessen,he was the son of the late Alonzo B. and Rose Potts Clingerman. Mr. Clingerman was employed as a teacher in East Washington,a principal at the Allenport School and a head teacher at Hanover Elementary in the Burgettstown School District,from which he retired. He graduated from Monessen High School and California State Teachers College. He received his master's degree from West Virginia University. Mr. Cingerman enjoyed hunting,golfing and skiing,but his favorite was farmiing.  He was the owner of Colonial Village Apartments and Laundromat in Monongahela and The Barrister's Barn in Washington.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a lifetime member of the National Education Association and Pennsylvania State Education Association. On June 10,1961,he married Jauqueline V. Clingerman,who survives. Also surviving are one son, Wade H. Clingerman II,at home,one daughter,Kristin A. Clingerman,Esq.,at home,two sisters, Zolla Reed of Belle Vernon and Maxine Hawkins of Monessen and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by two brothers, Athalyn and Addison B. Clingerman and two sisters, Laverda Johnson and Larocca Boag. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc.,Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in First Christian Church,115 Sixth St.,Monessen,with Pastor Conrad Auel officiating.  Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church,115 Sixth St.,Monessen,15062 or the Washington County Humane Society,Eighty Four,15330.
