John P. Cicco S.,82,of 407 Main St.,Monongahela,died Wednesday,March 20,1996,at 1:55 p.m. at his home. Born Sept. 20,1913,in Belle Vernon,he was the son of the late Thomas and Michelina Berardelli Cicco. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon community,Mr. Cicco was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society. He retired after 25 years as a craneman at U.S. Steel Irvin Works and had been an attendant at the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home in Belle Vernon for the past 17 years. He was a member of Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026 and the Mon Valley Bowling League. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by a sister,Mary Quintier and three brothers,John,Joseph and Patsy Cicco. Surviving are his wife, Rose Fazio Cicco;one son and daughter-in-law,John P.and Ann Miller Cicco Jr. of Belle Vernon;and two grandchildren,Christine Marie and Ian Thomas Cicco,both of Belle Vernon.Survivors also include a nephew,Thomas Quintier of Belle Vernon;two nieces,Rose Cander of Belle Vernon and Joanne Schuster of Monongahela and several great nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon.A Prayer service will be conducted in the funeral home at noon Saturday,followed by Funeral Mass at 12:30 p.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,with the Rev. John R. Cindric,pastor,as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026 will conduct services in the funeral home Friday at 7:15 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home.
