Gail C. Kissell,daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Dudgeon Kissell,died on Wednesday,January 27,2021,at Concordia of Fox Chapel, Cheswick,Pa. gail was born on August 13,1935,in McKeesport, Pa. She graduated from McKeesport High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Education from Nyack College in Nyack, NY. She was employed as an LPN by the Visiting Nurses Association of Allegheny County for 34 years. Preceding her in death were her parents Joseph and Mary Dudgeon Kissell, brother Joseph W. Kissell,brother Rev. William F. Kissell and infant sister Mary Ann Kissell. She is survived by her sister Dr. Patricia D. Kissell of Nampa, ID, sisters-in-law Clarabelle Kissell of Mechanicsburg,Pa and Grace Kissell of Cabot,Pa.,nephews, William Kissell (Jessica) of Mechanicsburg,Pa and Joseph Kissell (Morgen) of San Diego,Calif.,niece Darlene Fiero of St. Mary's Pa.as well as eight nephews and nieces and seven great-great nephews and niece. Gail was a member of the McKeesport Alliance Church,where she served in children's ministry and as church organist and choir accompanist. She had a special interest in missions and supported numerous international and domestic mission projects. She was an avid dog lover and took great pride in each dog she owned,her last one being a beagle named Mickey Joe. The family expresses appreciation to the staff at both Concordia at Cabot and Concordia of Fox Chapel for the compassionate and professional care they provided Gail. Thompson-Miller Funeral Home in Butler,Pa,is handling final arrangements. Interment wil be at Belle Vernon Cemetery,Belle Vernon, PA. Memorial contributions may be given to the Christian and Missionary Alliance,designated for the Bongolo Hospital, Gabon, Africa,and sent to C&MA Office of Donor Accounting,8595 Explorer Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80920.
