Obituary

Frederick G.Collins,96,of Fallowfield Township died Tuesday,Aug.28,1990,at 4 p.m. in the Carcella Personal Care Home,Fallowfield Township. He was born Feb.22,1894,in Elco,a son of the late James W.and Christina Carroll Collins. Mr.Collins was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Charleroi and held life memberships in the following organizations: F&AM Lodge 615 of Charleroi,Charleroi Eagles,and VFW Post 167 of Charleroi. A veteran of World War I,he served in the U.S.Army. He was formerly employed at the old Pittsburgh Railway Company,Division 85,as a streetcar operator. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife,Bess Johnson Collins in 1957,and a son,Robert Jones Collins in 1975. He is survived by a son,Fred G.Collins Jr.of Beaver Falls,a daughter,Mrs.Jane Collins Kibler of Fallowfield Township,four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home Inc.,226 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi,is in charge of the arrangements.
