Earle Y. Cook Sr , 73, 421
Ferncliff Dr , Belle Vernon, died
on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 1989, at
Edgewood Nursing Center in
Youngstown, Pa.
He was born on Oct. 22,1915, in
Uniontown, a son of the late
John D.and Emma
Frankhouser Cook.
Mr. Cook was also preceded in
death by two brothers, Wilbur
and Joseph Cook, and one sister,
Catherine Barber.
He was Protestant by faith
and a Belle Vernon resident for
51 years.
Mr. Cook was a veteran of
World War II and served in the
United States Navy. He was also
a member of Belle Vernon
American Legion Post 659.
He was retired from National
Tube Works in McKeesport,
where he was employed as a
chipper and grinder.
Mr. Cook is survived by a
wife, Edith Amalong Cook, four
sons, Earle Y. Cook Jr., of
Macedonia, Ohio, Ronald W.
Cook of Belle Vernon, Rev.
David L. Cook of Belle Vernon
and Sgt. Gary M. Cook of Uniontown,
two sisters, Mrs.
Margaret Holland of Zelienople
and Mrs. Helen Langley of
Uniontown, five grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren
Friends will be received Wednesdayfrom 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m at the
Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral
Home, 626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Services will be held on Friday morning at 11 a.m.in the funeral home with Rev.Charles LaPlaca,pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon,officiating., Interment will be at Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will hold services on Thursday evening at 7 p.m.in the funeral home. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
