Helen B.Clegg;86;of 814 Washington Road;Belle Vernon;died Wednesday;Aug.31;1988;at 6:30 p.m.in the Humbert Lane Home in Washington;Pa. She was born Dec.25;1901;in Cambridge;Ohio;a daughter of the late Edgel and Hannah Witchcroft Miller. Mrs.Clegg was a member of the United Methodist Church. She had lived in Belle Vernon for the last six years;and was formerly from Youngstown;Ohio. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her twin brother;Edgel;and another brother;Richard. Surviving are her husband;Kessler Q.Clegg;one son;Jack Peters of New Town Square;two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Services will be held from the funeral home on Saturday;Sept.3 at 11 a.m.;with Dr.Thomas St.Clair of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
