Daniel V. Monticelli, 71, of Rostraver Township, passed away unexpectedly on May 25, 2025. Born in Charleroi on Sept. 17, 1953, he was the son of the late Mario and Anna (Tesolin) Monticelli. Daniel was a hard worker, starting at age 10 delivering newspapers, then worked at Catrino’s Market, was manager at Big G Tire, then worked at Liggett Spring & Axle, Allenport Steel Mill and was the sole proprietor of Monticelli Pools. He also worked in construction and built his family home in Rostraver Township. Always busy, he loved restoring old cars. He attended St. Sebastian Catholic Church. But the highlight of his life was his family, whom he deeply loved. He is survived by his wife, Irma (Zimmerman) Monticelli; children, Michelle (Dennis) Steiner of Lynnwood, Daniel (Dana) Monticelli of Coal Center, Nicholas Monticelli of Rostraver, Julian (Heather) Monticelli of McMurray and Michael (Olivia) Monticelli of Belle Vernon; grandchildren, Dennis Steiner III, Caden Monticelli, Weston Monticelli, Brooks Monticelli, Malcolm Monticelli and Jasper Monticelli; his dog, Zuki; and his cat, Tutti. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lorraine Koper; and his favorite uncle, Victor Tesolin.
