Obituary

Louis Clausi, 71, of 319 Hill St., Belle Vernon, died Friday, Feb. 5, 1988, at 2 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Mr. Clausi was born Feb. 6, 1916, in Belle Vernon, a son of the late Rocco and Josephine Colosimo Clausi. He retired in 1981 from the Corning Glass plant in Charleroi, where he was employed as a security guard. A life-long resident of the Belle Vernon community, Mr. Clausi was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Clausi was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post No. 659. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Uram Clausi, at home, one son, Tom M. Clausi, of Tipp City, Ohio, one daughter, Mrs. David (Cindy) Harida, of Meadville, Pa., two sisters, Mrs. Mary Sciore and Mrs. Sam (Teresa) Zeli, both of Belle Vernon, and three grandchildren, Jason Clausi of Findlay, Ohio, Samantha Clausi of Tipp City, Ohio, and Noelle McGinnis of Tipp City, Ohio. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. Belle Vernon American Legion Post No.659 services will be held Sunday at 7 p.m.in the funeral home. A Prayer Service will be held Monday at 12:30 p.m.in the funeral home,followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
