George Cenkner of 1034 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon died Thrusday,May 24,1984 at 11 a.m. at his home. He was 69. Mr. Cenkner was born Jan. 18,1915,in Pittsburgh, a son of the late John and Anna Riscik Cenkner. He was a member of Lynnwood Lutheran Church. Mr. Cenkner was also a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion and the Monessen VFW. A resident of the Belle Vernon area the past 38 years, he was formerly of Monessen. Mr. Cenkner was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He retired in 1973 from Monessen Southwestern Railroad of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was a member of Mon Valley Association of Retired Steelworkers (MARS). Survivors include his wife, Margaret Cubbage Cenkner; one daughter, Kathy Cenkner Crispin of Latrobe;three brothers and two sisters, John, Joseph and Michael Cenkner,Mrs. Elizabeth Evans and Mrs. Anna Sedlak,all of Monessen. There will be no public visitation. The Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home, 700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon is in charge of arrangements.
