Obituary
Services were held Monday,June 23,1980,in the chapel of the Rhome Funeral Home,Inc.,Monessen,for Jane Curry of Fayette City R.D.1,who died Saturday,June 21,1980 at 12:05 p.m. in Washington. Mrs. Curry,94,was born Sept.21,1885,in Durham,England. She was a Fayette City resident most of her life. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary,both of Fayette City. Mrs. Curry was preceded in death by her husband,Matthew,and seven children. Survivors include a daughter,Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Aldous,Sr.,with whom she resided,a son,William Curry of Florida;a brother,Rev. William Plews of Rochester,N.Y.;a sister,Mrs. Sarah Hillard of Butler;27 grandchildren,30 great-grandchildren,and two great-great-grandchildren. Friends were received in the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.,1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen,Sunday evening. Officiating at the services was Rev. C. Eugene Stollings,pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Fayette City. Interment followed in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
