Funeral services for Willie Copeland;67;will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.in the Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home;Monessen;with the Rev.Samuel Greene officiting. Mr.Copeland died Tuesday night;Jan.8;1980;when fire swept through his Wickhaven Hollow duplex home. Fire officials believe smoking in bed caused the blaze. A World War II veteran and retired Clairton Mill worker;he was born May 12;1912 in Clinton;S.C. He was the son of the late Charles and Josephine Jones Copeland. Survivors include a sister;Minnie Copeland;a nephew;William Moore;and a niece;Sadie Moore;all of Washington;D.C.;and many other nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
