Obituary

Charles Robert Billion,51,of Charleroi,died Thursday,Oct.19,2000,in the V.A. Hospital,Pittsburgh,following complications of lung and heart disease.  Born June 23,1949,in North Charleroi,he was the son of the late Edward Billion and Isabelle Morgan Billion Harper. A. U.S. Marine veteran,Chuck saw active duty in the Vietnam War. He was a military police officer.  A graduate of the municipal police academy in Greensburg,he was a former police officer in California,Pa.,and was a former police chief in Fayette City. He was a partner in B&W Plumbing Co,.and was a master plumber.  Churck was a friend to everyone and helped many people find hope in their lives.  He practiced the Christian faith and was a devout believer of Christian principles and ideals. survivors include a daughter,Barbara Billion of Monongahela;four step-children,Steven Balko,Tim Wiggins,Pam Smith and Michelle Lint;a brother,Edward Billion of Los Angeles,Calif.;two sisters,Rosalie Carroll and husband Regis Carroll of Speers Hill,and Lori Marek and husband Kirk Marek of Kileen,Texas;four grandchildren,Brittney and Anthony Cipley,Joshua Billion and Mark Carper Jr.;nephews,Marcus and Scott Carroll,David and Glenn Dwyer,Edward and Troy Billion Snyder,and nieces,Susan Carroll Molish,Tammy Teska and Shelly Flores. In additin to his parents,he was preceded in death by a daughter,Jenny Billion Cipley.  There will be no public viewing.  A memorial service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME INC.,226 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
