James Basile,87,formerly of Samson Street, Belle Vernon,died Friday,July 14,2000,in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born April 29,1913,in Belle Vernon,a son of the late Joseph and Sarah Roger Basile. A life-long Belle Vernon resident,he had been a custodian at the former Mon Valley Hospital,New Eagle. He was a U.S.Army veteran serving during Word Was II. He is survived by two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Roland and Nellie Basile,Ross and Anna Mae Basile,and Nancy Basile,all of Belle Vernon. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by three brothers, Anthony,Robert and Samuel;four sisters,Rose Greco,Carrie Flora,Margaret Harrison and Mary Mate. Visitation and funeral services are private. Burial will be Monday in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
