Madeline M.Neil Burrows;85;of 431 Henry St.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;April 14;1997;at 2:20 a.m.in Sphar’s Personal Care Home;Belle Vernon. She was born Nov.22;1911;in Belle Vernon;a daughter of the late Clyde and Millie Williams Neil. Mrs.Burrows was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon community. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law;Dorothy and Robert Sterdis of Belle Vernon;with whom she made her home;a son and daughter-in-law;James and Eleanor Burrows of Rostraver Township;two sisters-in-law;Yola Neil and Lois Burrows;six grandchildren;Bob Sterdis;Angela Burrows;Carol Walkush;Donna Shrum;Nancy Baker and James Burrows Jr.;and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;James Burrows;in 1936;three brothers;R.Edward Gillespie;Earl Gillespie and Clyde Neil;and one sister;Sadie Winstone. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m.in the First Baptist Church;Belle Vernon;with the Rev.Frank Sgromolo;pastor;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
