Thomas S. Bongiorno; 67;
also known as Mr. Banjor; of
Fairhope; Belle Vernon; died
suddenly Thursday; Oct. 13;
1994; in the Warren General
Hospital; Front Royal; Va.;
while on a fishing trip.
Mr. Bongiorno was born July
7; 1927; in Charleroi; a son of
the late Anthony (Tony) and
Anna Kovatch Bongiorno.
He was a retired junior high
teacher of history and a former
football coach with Bellmar
High School and the Belle Vernon Area School District. Mr.Bongiorno was a member of the Belle Vernon Athletic Association and the Fairhope Rod
and Gun Club.
He is survived by his wife;
Dawn E. Anderson Bongiorno;
two sons; Thomas A. Bongiorno
(and daughter-in-law Vickie) of
Belle Vernon and David C. Bongiorno (and daughter-in-law
Patricia) of Washington; Pa.;
and six grandchildren; Georgina; Jennifer; Amanda; James;
Timothy and Karen.
Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.;Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday until 11 a.m.;the hour of services in the funeral home;with the Rev.Charles K.Sowden officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
