Elizabeth (Libby) Brooks,69,of 686 McMahon Ave.,Monessen,died Monday,Feb.27,1989,at 7:06 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital Inc.,Carroll Twp. She was born Oct.24,1919,in Belle Vernon,a daughter of the late Henry Sparell and Lillian Baker Saunders. Mrs. Brooks was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church,Monessen. She is survived by her husband,Raymond C. Brooks;one brother,Harold Saunders of Monessen;three sisters,Helen Richards of Washington,Pa.,and Louisa Felder and Prudence J. Elliott,both of Monessen and several nieces,nephews and cousins. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the William R. Taylor Funeral Home,645 McMahon Ave.,Monessen. Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Fellowship Baptist Church,Monessen,with the Rev. Wilbur Hubbard,pastor,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The William R. Taylor Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
