Mario Brighenti of Belle Vernon R.D.2 died Monday;Jan.20;1986;at 5:40 p.m. at his home following a lingering illness. He was 80. Mr.Brighenti was born June 3;1905;in Monessen;a son of the late Marshall and Gentile Ceilni Brighenti. He had owned and operated Brighenti Brothers Truckling and Construction Company and was involvd in coal stripping for many years. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a brother;Angelo Brighenti. Mr.Brighenti was a member of St.Leonard Roman Catholic Church;Monessen Knights of Columbus and Monessen Elks Lodge 773. Survivors include his wife;Velma Takacs Brighenti;a daughter and son-in-law;Marcia and Rudolph Greco of Belle Vernon R.D.2;a grandson;Mario Greco;and two sisters;Savina Cantoni of Irwin and Florence Frazier of New Jersey. Friends will be received Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Rhome Funeral Home;Inc.;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen;where a prayer service will be held Friday;Jan.24;at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.Leonard Catholic Church;Monessen;with the Rev.Patrick J.O’Connor officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rhome Funeral Home;Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
