Caroline Boord;81;of 1817 Service Lane;Monessen;died Friday;Nov.15;1985;at 6:45 a.m.in the Mon Valley Hospital. Mrs.Boord was born in Connellsville;a daughter of the late Charles A.and Emma Zimmer Eisley. She was a resident of Monessen for many years and lived with her grandson;Benjamin Crawford. She attended St.Paul’s Lutheran Church in Monessen. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;James P.Boord;and a daughter;Betty DeAngelis. Survivors include two daughters;Mrs.Cornelius J.(Jean) Baker of Monessen and Mrs.Lois Binley of Dallas;Tex.;a son; James E.of Annapolis;Md.;13 grandchildren;27 great-grandchildren;five great-great-grandchildren;two sisters;Mrs.Viva Watson of Monessen and Mrs.Charles (Ora) Bradley of North Charleroi;and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen;on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home chapel on Monday at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev.Ronald Schlak officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rhome Funeral Home Inc.is handling the arrangements.
