Anton (Tony) Blatnik of Johnson Hollow;Fayette City R.D.1;died Wednesday;Nov.6;1985;at 7:55 a.m. in the Haven Crest Nursing Home;Carroll Twp. He was 89. Mr.Blatnik was born Jan.15;1896;in Yugoslavia;a son of the late Anton and Frances Blatnik. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church;Fayette City;the United Mineworkers of America;and the S.N.P.J.Lodge No.224;Fayette City. In addition to his parents;Mr.Blatnik was preceded in death by a daughter;Josephine;in 1969;and by a son;John;in 1985. Surviving are his widow;Anna Sladich Blatnik;of Fayette City;R.D.1;three sons;Anthony;at home;George;of Scott Twp.;and Thomas of Monongahela;R.D.;two daughters;Mrs.Robert (Frances) Winn of Virginia Beach;Va.;and Mrs.Michael (Barbara) Lipp of Reynoldsburg;Ohio;21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Parish Rosary will be recited at 7:15 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. A Wake Service will be held Friday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. A Prayer Service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home;followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit R.C.Church;Fayette City;with Rev.Thomas G.Rinn;pastor;as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery;Belle Vernon;Pa. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
