Obituary

Michael Bondi of 112 Alexander Ave., Monongahela, (Fisher Heights), died Friday,July 15,1983 in the Washington County Health Center at 1 p.m. He was 75. Mr. Bondi was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine Bondi. He resided in Fisher Heights for the past five years, but was formerly of Belle Vernon. He retired from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., Monessen plant, in 1957. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John in 1938, and a sister, Nellie Mannina. Survivors include a son, Joseph (Buddy) Bondi of Belle Vernon: three sisters, Mrs. Blackie (Gloria) Joseph, with whom he made his home, Mrs. Dwaine (Dolores) Roberts and Mrs. Robert (Arlene) Chew, both of Charleroi: 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev.Nick Joseph of the South Side Church of Christ,Columbus,Ohio,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
