Samuel Basile of 39 Sampson St.,Belle Vernon,died Monday,April 26,1982 at 8:30 p.m. at his home. He was 74. Born June 21,1907,in Belle Vernon,he was the son of the late Joseph and Sarah Rogers Basile. Mr. Basile was Catholic by faith. He was a former employee of the American Window Glass Co. and Burhman Furnace Co.,both of Belle Vernon. Survivors include four brothers, James,with whom Mr. Basile made his home,Roland and Ross,both of Belle Vernon,and Anthony of Puerto Rico; four sisters, Mrs. Ross (Carrie) Flora of Belle Vernon,Mrs. Nick (Mary) Mate of Pittsburgh and Mrs. John (Margaret) Harrison of Arnold City and a dear friend,Ruth Richter of Newell. Friends are being received Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
