Anthony (Tony) Bongiorno;75;of 232 Hoffman St.;Fairhope;Belle Vernon;died suddenly Monday;Oct.19;1981;at 3:30 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. Mr.Bongiorno was born May 5;1906;in Dunlevy;a son of the late Philip and Mary Arrigo Bongiorno. He was retired from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Survivors include his widow;Ann Kovatch Bongiorno;one son;Thomas S.Bongiorno of Fairhope;two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren;four brothers;Joe Bongiorno of Charleroi;Paul Bongiorno of Ohio;Thomas Bongiorno of Roscoe and Philip Bongiorno of Monessen;two sisters;Mrs.Samuel (Bessie) Sutch of Charleroi and Mrs.Walter (Sarah) Osiol of Donora. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday;2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and until 10:30 a.m. Thursday when a blessing service will be held in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
