Emily Smith Brubaker;335 Main St.;Belle Vernon;died Tuesday;April 7;1981 at 10:05 p.m.in the Brownsville Golden Age Nursing Home. She was 85. Born Jan.7;1895 in Mt.Carmel;Pa.;she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah White. Mrs.Brubaker was a Belle Vernon area resident for over 75 years. Mrs.Brubaker was a member of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her husband;Edward Brubaker;in 1969. Survivors include three sons;Charles Smith of Belle Vernon R.D.2;Jay F.Smith;with whom she resided;and James Smith of Charleroi R.D.;a sister;Mrs.Helen Williams of Elizabeth;27 grandchildren;55 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m.at the funeral home with the Rev.Kenneth Neiderhiser;pastor of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene;officiating.
