Mary J.Keracik Balaska;formerly of Belle Vernon;died Tuesday;Nov.4;1980 in Pittsburgh. She was 73. Born May 27;1907 in Charleroi;she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine Bartek Keracik. Mrs.Balaska was preceded in death by a sister;Ethel Barcelona;and a brother;John Keracik. Survivors include a daughter;Mrs.Ralph (Elaine) Matrozzo of Belle Vernon;a brother;Joseph Keracik of Belle Vernon;and a sister;Mrs.Anna Keracik Rowley of Belle Vernon;three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m.in the funeral home with the Rev.Charles Colas;pastor of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
