Mrs. Elizabeth Babich,of Fayette City R.D.1 died Saturday,Aug. 16,1980,in her home. She was 92. Mrs. Babich was born Nov. 16,1887,in Czechoslovakia,a daughter of the late Andrew and Hannah Benyak. She was a member of Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church of Charleroi and its Rosary Altar Society. Mrs. Babich was preceded in death by her husband,Charles, in 1960,and a son, Joseph in 1973. Survivors include seven sons, Charles of Perryopolis R.D.,Samuel of Daisytown,and John, Michael,Frank,Andrew and Paul,all of Fayette City R.D1; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Blanchard of Phoeniz, Ariz.,Mrs. Ellen Barota of Perryopolis R.D. and Mrs.Madeline Zubricky and Mrs. Elizabeth Bednar,both of Fayette City R.D.1; 35 grandchildren,51 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Hayes of Pittsburgh,Mrs. Helen Yetsconish of Fayette City,Mrs. Anna Peters of Pittsburgh and Mrs.Susan Harting of Los Angelos,Calif. Friends will be received in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. A Prayer service will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. followed by Solemn Divine Liturgy in Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church,Charleroi. The Rev. Andrew Chura will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Requiem services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 7:30 p.m. The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
