Mrs. Opal Forsythe Brown of Pricedale, died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday,June 10,1980,in Frick Community Hospital,Mt. Pleasant. Mrs.Brown was 66. She was born Sept. 12,1913,in Jacobs Creek,Pa., a daughter of the late Oliver S. and Ada King Forsythe. Mrs. Brown,who had been a Pricedale resident most of her life,was preceded in death by her husband,Cyril (Cy) Brown in August 1975. She was a Protestant by faith. Mrs. Brown is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Mildred) McGowan of Newell and Mrs. Judy Breckenridge of Monessen; four sons,John (Fuzzy) Forsythe of Nemacolin,Pa.,Thomas Brown of Weirton,W.Va.,Willard Brown of Pittsburgh,and Donald Brown of RD 2,Charleroi; 13 grandchildren,including a granddaughter,Marcy Brown at home;three great-grandchildren;a sister,Mrs. William (Virginia) Hawk of Fairhope;and two brothers,Jack Forsythe of Huntington,Pa. and Thomas Forsythe of Cleveland,Ohio. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at the Rhome Funeral Home,Inc.,1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen.Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Rhome Chapel,with the Rev. Russell E. Vance,pastor,St. Paul's Lutheran Church,Monessen, officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
