Obituary

Charles D. (Donkey) Anderson,64,of Arnold City,Belle Vernon,died at 6:30 p.m.,Wednesday,Aug. 5,1992,in Uniontown Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Anderson was born Dec. 7,1927,in Warner, Pa.,a son of the late Howard and Edith Biles Anderson.  He was retired as a slitter helper from the Thomas Steel Strip Corporation in Warren, Ohio.  Mr. Anderson had completed two tours of duty as a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Naomi Athletic Club, Belle Vernon American Legion Post No.659,the Brightwell-Daugherty American Legion Post No. 484,Fayette City;the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club,the Polish Club in Arnold City,and the American Slovonic Citizens' Club in Fayette City.  Surviving are his wife,Joan Wozniak Anderson;two sons, Charles David Anderson of Arnold City,Belle Vernon,and John J. Anderson of Charleroi,a daughter,Charlene Deneen,of San Antonio,Texas,four grandchildren,two brothers,Howard Anderson of Streetsboro,Ohio,and Robert Duvuvei of Fellsburg,and a sister,Mrs. Elsie Adamec,of Belle Vernon R.D.4.  Two brothers, Jess and William Anderson,are deceased. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,where a Blessing service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Richard E. Mackiewicz,pastor of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church of Fayette City,officiating.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will conduct services at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.  The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
