Obituary

Attilio H. Amoroso,77,of 515 Washington St.,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,Jan.12,1992,at 6:30 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital Inc.,Carroll Township. Born Sept.12,1914,in Belle Vernon,he was the son of the late Gregorio and Filomena Menacci Amoroso. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon,Mr. Amoroso was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II,he was a member of the American Legion,Ernest E. Jobes Post 212,Donora. He retired in 1980 as a acustodian in the Belle Vernon Area School District. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by four brothers,Bill,Joe,Guido and George Amoroso. Surviving are his wife,Rose DiBiasi Amoroso;two daughters,Judith Ann Bigham of Belle Vernon and Mrs. Marc (Bernadette) Rodgers of Vernon Hills,Ill.;two granddaughters,Nicole Bigham and Courtney Rodgers;two brothers, Charles Amoroso of Monongahela and Dominick Amoroso of Belle Vernon and four sisters, Natalie "Lil" Costantino of Belle Vernon,Lumenia Spurlin of Rock Port,Mo.,Mary Fedarko of Belle Vernon and Mrs. Arthur (Ann) Fontanelli of Monessen. Friends will be received monday enening from 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where a Prayer service will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon.  Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Arrangements are being handled by the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home.
