Obituary

Vera Mae Aldridge,of 8079 Elm Lawn Ave.,N.E.,Louisville,Ohio,died Monday,Oct.14,1985,in Altman Hospital,Canton,Ohio. She was 65. Mrs.Aldridge was born March 30,1920,in Stockdale,a daughter of the late Charles and Rosetta Lanham Kerr. She was a member of the Faith Nazarene Church,Bay City,Mich.,and was actively involved in children's ministry up until the time of her death. She and her husband had served Nazarene churches in Sharon and Smithton,Pa.,in Mineral City and Richmond Heights,Ohio,and in Bay City,Mich. Mrs.Aldridge retired to make her home in Louisville,Ohio,in May of this year. On April 8,1985,she and her husband,the Rev.David J.Aldridge,who survives,celebrated the 46th anniversary of their marriage. Surviving,in addition to her husband,are one son,David B.Aldridge,of Columbus,Ohio,one daughter,Charlene Aldridge,of Louisville,Ky,,one brother,Charles Kerr of New Kensington,Pa.,and three sisters,Mrs.Alberta Knaell of Largo,Fla.,Mrs.Margie Kies of North Lauderdale,Fla.,and Mrs.Frank (Cassie) Ruschak of Stockdale. Friends will be received Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home,1803 N.Cleveland Ave.,Canton,Ohio,and on Saturday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at the Belle Vernon Church of The Nazarene. Services will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene,Canton,Ohio,on Friday at 11 a.m. and again at the Belle Vernon Church of The Nazarene,at 2 p.m.,Saturday,with the Rev.Kenneth Neiderheiser,pastor of the Belle Vernon Church of The Nazarene,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery,Belle Vernon,Pa. The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
